Complete Whole House Automatic Transfer Switches
Cover every circuit all the time.
Generac's full line of backup power solutions includes generators and transfer switches capable of covering every circuit in any size home for complete whole house protection. The Smart Switch and RTS transfer switches offer home owners options for whole-house coverage when paired with the appropriately sized generator. Never wait for an appliance to take its turn being powered. When the power goes out, everything stays on - no matter how many circuits you have.

Smart Switch
The Smart Switch is the most intelligent transfer switch on the market. Engineered with Generac’s patented Digital Power Management (DPM) technology, it allows for more coverage with a smaller generator through smart load management. This advanced power management technology is standard, unlike competitive models that require additional hardware and investment to add a power management option.
RTS Series Transfer Switch
With the RTS transfer switch, you can choose to cover every circuit all the time or only essential circuits when paired with a generator sized to your application. RTS open transition transfer switches are ideal for residential, commercial and light industrial applications.
CSA Approved Transfer Switches
Generac offers the only CSA approved service rated transfer switches, utilizing patent pending technology to allow for use in Canadian whole-house applications.
Managed Whole House Transfer Switches
More coverage with less generator.
Gain up to whole-house coverage through smart power management. If it is unlikely you will turn on every appliance at the same time (most people don’t), a smaller generator paired with a Generac Smart power management transfer switch provides whole-house coverage through a managed power solution. The process is simple - non-essential circuits are shed when the generator approaches maximum capacity to eliminate overload, then are cycled back on when essential circuits are satisfied. Give yourself a little more than just the basics without a substantial increase in your investment.

LTS Transfer Switch
The LTS switch is designed to allow for the most efficient use of the generator by monitoring and managing the backed up essential and non-essential circuits. If the generator approaches overload condition, the non-essential circuits are cycled off, allowing essential circuits to remain powered. It features a built-in, 16-circuit priority load center, a main contactor that protects the essential circuits and a secondary contactor that protects non-essential circuits.

Power Management Module (PMM)
The Digital Power Management system consists of two parts. The first is the PMM (Power Management Module) Starter Kit, which includes the easily field installed 24VAC transformer and the first 50 amp, 24VAC actuated PMM. The transformer must be installed in the NEMA 3R Smart Switches to enable the use of PMMs. The second is the PMM, a 50 amp, 24VAC actuated contactor housed in a NEMA 3R enclosure for indoor and outdoor installation applications. Through the use of the PMMs in conjunction with any of the 100-800 amp, single phase switches, household or business loads can be intelligently managed enabling the use of a smaller, more efficient generator system. Up to four PMMs can be used with a single switch. Both the PMM Starter Kit and individual PMMs have a one year limited warranty.
Note: The Starter Kit and PMM will only work with the RTSR and RTSY transfer switches.
Essential Circuit Automatic Transfer Switches
Cover just the basics.
By sizing your generator system according to your needs instead of your home’s square footage, you won’t overspend or be surprised by inadequate coverage. Many homeowners choose to cover only their essential circuits during a power outage. Pair a smaller generator with Generac's pre-wired switch, GenReady™ load center or RTS transfer switch for a simple, remarkably economical system that will keep your basics powered during an emergency.

Pre-Wired Switch
Generac’s Pre-Wired Switch is an automatic transfer switch and distributed load center that backs up selected circuits for essential circuit coverage. Pre-wired for the easiest and least expensive installation on the market, they are an excellent value when whole house coverage is unnecessary.
- Available in 10, 12, 14 or 16 circuits
- 30 ft. pre-wired conduit connects transfer switch to external box
- 2 ft. pre-wired conduit for moving circuits from the main panel to the transfer switch
- Pre-wired external connection box with weatherproof conduit for generator connections
- NEMA 1 enclosure
GenReady Load Center
The advanced engineering of the GenReady Load Center replaces the home’s main circuit panel and incorporates the automatic transfer switch, in the form of the EZ Transfer Operator™, with the emergency panel. All power switching is handled within one unit, so it becomes a hybrid circuit panel capable of separating out only the electrical circuits chosen to be covered during a power outage.
Generac offers the only CSA approved service rated transfer switches, utilizing patent pending technology to allow for use in Canadian whole-house or essential circuit applications depending on the generator with which it is paired.
